The Approach

Too many instructional sources get caught up in the technical details that are involved in being successful at golf. There are also those that try to separate themselves from that and offer a completely different approach to the game through "feeling" oriented drills. Truth is there is nothing wrong with either approach but it is just not how the human mind processes information.

We process on a multitude of levels, and while capable of computing individual stimulus we're much better when we have more than one of our senses tuned into what is going on. For example, a piece of great food tastes even better when we can smell it as well as taste, and even better if it also looks appetizing, even the sound of a sizzling plate can make our mouths water in anticipation. The same can be said for the golf swing. Being aware on many levels of how we are trying to perform as well as what we are trying to achieve and having this all clearly laid out allows us to execute to the fullest of our ability. This is the basis for my approach to teaching and it is a holistic one that will combine the many elements of golf, both tangible and intangible, and bring them together so that your body and mind are working as one instead of fighting each other.
